Our institute came into existence in the year 1990. It is situated in the serene locality of Daulatnagar, Satara, Maharashtra. Sham Sundari is an amalgamation of the names Shamrao Shanbhag and Sundaribai Shanbhag, parents of the Founder President Mr. Ramesh S. Shanbhag. Sham Sundari Charitable & Religious Society has earned the respect and trust of the people of our city since 1990.

This Trust has been consistently conducting various cultural and religious functions in Satara for over 3 decades.

Sham Sundari Charitable & Religious Society organizes State level competitions for students in various Sports and Dance. Sham Sundari Charitable & Religious Society established KSD Shanbhag Vidyalaya in June 1990 to impart excellent training in academics, sports, and extra-curricular activities – all under one big roof. Since then, KSD Shanbhag Vidyalaya has been growing like a plant that grows towards the warmth and light of the sun.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Our school is a four storied building consisting of 40 clean, well ventilated digital classrooms, well-equipped science laboratories, computer rooms and separate sanitary facilities for boys and girls. Drinking water is provided on each level of our school. Cultural programs are staged on the school’s massive 4500 SQ. ft. open-air auditorium, which has the capacity to seat 2000 people. Our students recharge themselves on the 10-acre playground.

AIM

The main of our institute is to impart good academic, physical and social education to the students for their all around development, training them to be mature, sensible, healthy, responsible and disciplined citizens of our country.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION AND CURRICULUM

The medium of instruction is English and the curriculum followed by our institute is that laid down by the  Maharashtra State Government. Our students are trained to ace the S. S. C. examination conducted by the Kolhapur Board, Maharashtra as well as a many other competitive examinations.

TEACHING STAFF

Our well-qualified, experienced teachers handle and train the students to reach their potential. Our teachers are constantly given training to upgrade themselves so as to keep up with the latest teaching methods. Our dedicated sports coaches strive vary hard to make each student a complete person who is prepared to face the world physically, mentally and morally.
